Bullhorn SMS Campaigns
Campaigns are a way to organize a specific activity or event and remind your people that something needs to happen
We are excited to see what you can empower with this feature, but it was created primarily with the intent to Coordinate activities to get legislations through committee or passed
Features
- Create a campaign and with a public page where Contacts can mark activities as 'Complete'
- Add Contacts (and groups of contacts) to a Campaign
- Create a series of scheduled SMS Messages to be sent to the contacts
- Contacts in the campaign receive the messages
- Contacts can mark their activity as 'Complete' in the public page
- Contacts who 'Complete' the campaign do not receive additional messages in this campaign
Lets use a real example
Lets say we have some legislation we are trying to rally for. We know it goes to committee in 2 weeks
These are the steps we would take
Create the new campaign
And add steps in the public page for where the bill is and the urls that people can visit to see the legislation and how to contact their representative
Add Contacts to the Campaign
Groups can also be used to add contacts in bulk. We call these 'Targets'
Create a series of SMS Messages to go out to remind and direct your folks
All SMS Messages add this to the end of messages we send ' - Follow this link to Mark Complete and see details '
- SMS 1 (scheduled for 10 days prior). Hey {{ first_name }}, we are trying to get House Bill X passed, it will help us in the following way (be succinct). We need you to visit this url to show support by x date
- SMS 2 (scheduled for 7 days prior). Hey {{ first_name }}, we are trying to get House Bill X passed and have 1 week to show support.
- SMS 3 (scheduled for 3 days prior). Hey {{ first_name }}, we are trying to get House Bill X passed and have 3 days to show support.
- SMS 4 (scheduled for 1 days prior). Hey {{ first_name }}, we are trying to get House Bill X passed and this is the last day to show support.
Austio will take care of sending these messages at the right time and exclude contacts that 'Complete' the activity.
SMS Messages can be viewed in the Messages Tab
Contacts will receive the SMS messages
- Contacts receive all messages in the campaign at the scheduled time
- All SMS Messages add this to the end of messages we send ' - Follow this link to Mark Complete and see details '
- Contacts that mark the activity as "Complete" do not receive additional SMS Messages from this campaign
- SMS Messages that are sent will display in the Chat area like a normal message
